There are approximately 800 moorings in North Kingstown waters. These are located in 17 different mooring fields along the coast and in Wickford Harbor and Allen Harbor.

There are currently five transient moorings located inside Wickford Harbor with plans for more in the near future. These moorings are on a first-come-first served basis and are limited to 24 hours. There is no charge. See Wickford chart for location.

Like all small New England seaside villages, demand for mooring space exceeds available supply. Therefore according to the Harbor Management Plan, we maintain three different waiting lists for prospective mooring permits. The longest list is for moorings in Wickford Harbor itself. Our Town commercial wharf has spaces for "short" quohog skiffs as well as larger fishing boats.
